Chevrah Lomdei Mishnah

It is customary to learn one chapter of Mishnayos for each year of the departed's age. For example, if the person who has passed away was 70 years old, one would learn 70 chapters of Mishnayos. In some communities, people say Mishnayos in ascending order (i.e. chapter 1, then chapter 2, and so on) until they reach their goal, while others say it in descending order (70, 69, and so on).
